Openpatho® provides histopathologists with deep learning AI tools which enhances performance by refining diagnoses and improving laboratory workflow leading to an improvement in patient care.

The Openpatho® platform includes an image management system which is integrated with a secure cloud-based Histopathology reporting system. This includes WSI data capture function, an easy- to-use viewer, cloud storage and AI-aided tools. There is currently an expanding market in terms of remote histopathology reporting. Our reporting platform represents a unique stand-alone system which facilitates this form of service delivery on a global scale through our Uber-pathology scheme.

The global shortage of histopathologists taken together with the growing implementation of digital pathology has led to the development of remote histopathology reporting.

The Openpatho® platform facilitates this new form of working. All main digital formats are supported. Slide scanning facilities and slide storage facilities are available if required. We also offer integration into hospital laboratory information management systems subject to local IT policy arrangements.

Working in collaboration with various recruitment agencies, hospitals and individual specialist histopathologists we have developed a remote histopathology service provisioned via the Openpatho® reporting platform.

Openpatho®- Colorectal

This AI model allows for the accurate detection of pre-cancerous colorectal lesions in whole-slide images (WSI). This is of particular benefit in the context of the bowel cancer screening programme. This solution is designed to augment the performance of histopathologists leading to cost savings equivalent to approximately 50% per slide on average.

Openpatho®- QC

This product is still in development is currently at prototype level. The quality control (QC) process in the histopathology laboratory requires staff to match slides to blocks in order to ensure each slides is correctly labelled for each individual patient. The Openpatho®- QC tool allows for this important QC process to be automated through an AI-enabled matching process. In addition the software allows for improvements to be made to the digital slide in regard to blurring or other artefacts which impair image quality.
